  • Body. strongly branching, weakly erect or hanging;
  • Trunk flat, winged, sometimes 3-angled, notched;
  • Shoots lateral, c. 30 cm long. (and more), to 3 cm broad, sometimes narrowing and stem-like and then to 60 cm long., notches rounded, shoots mostly bordered dark red;
  • Areoles. weakly white-felty;
  • Flowers. along the entire length of the shoot, to 1.5 cm long., little opening, white
  • Petals 7 or 8 , lanceolate
  • Stamens 20 to 30, white
  • Stigma lobes 3 or 4
  • Ovary. 3~5 -angled;
  • Fruit. spherical, weakly angular, blackish-purple.
  • Habitat - Brazil (Sao Paulo).
