Rhipsalis microcarpa Steudel, is a name found only in Schumann's Index (Gesamtb. Kakteen 832. 1898).

Treated by B&T 1995 as with possible links to Rhipsalis macrocarpa which in turn has links to Rhipsalis phyllanthus. We can find no documentation that suggests this, and suggest this name be left as B&R intended
